BACKSTORY: Dusham came in to the orphanage in 2022. His father died after an accident and then his mother took care of him on her own. When Dusham was only 5 years old, he became very sick with diabetes. His mother died after too much suffering in life and his relatives did not take care of him. The relatives gave authority to the orphanage to care for him.

BACKSTORY: This is the oldest of three children (2 boys and 1 girl) who came to the orphanage in 2021. Their father died in 2019 after suffering from liver damage and ultimately a heart attack. Their mother is paralyzed and cannot care for the children. She broken-heartedly gave the authority of the children to the orphanage, which was a very hard decision for her to make, but she knew this was their only option to having a good life.

BACKSTORY: This boy came to the orphanage in 2020. He did not have a father or mother in his life, so he was being cared for by his uncle. When he turned 5, the uncle gave authority to the orphanage to care for him because he said he could not longer care for him.

BACKSTORY: This young boy came to the orphanage in 2021. His father died when he was 3 years old from liver disease. His mother cared for him until he was 6 years old, but she has diabetes and can no longer work. Because she has no income, she gave authority to the orphanage to care for him.
